Natural Bridge in the woods

in natureswonder •  7 years ago

Natural bridges happen it sometimes due to a cave that has had a cave-in leaving the opening or entrance standing. This one is just a few miles down the road from our home. We live in the cave state of Missouri. Hope you enjoy these photos. This is the time of year that this natural bridge can be seen from the road that passes by it.

Since we where not around when this was first discovered we truly do not know how it came to be.

The over growth hides this wonder from view in other seasons of the year. The wonder of it is how this large rock formation still stands to be seen. The owners have had to put up no trespassing signs to protect them and other from climbing up on it. I am so happy to have a way to get close without being close. Zoom in function is wonderful.

Thank you for stopping by. Abbi and I will see you here and send Love your way.

Oh, that is neat and interesting. Shame you can't get permission to have a guided tour of it. I imagine it would be hard to get Abbi up there to see it though. Still, I think if I owned the land there, I would build handicapped ramps and clean it up, put some handrails up, signs and whatnot then charge admission to folks. Say, $5.00/person. Then sit there and rake in the cash. That's just me though, or maybe I would put my phone number at the bottom nearest the road to call for private tours. Idk, just spitballing here.
Much love and light,
X

I would do something like that to. Even make up a good back story true or fiction. After first looking up what history I may be able to find. Love to you
