I think you're going to get pennies on the dollar. Everyone knows he's going to walk next year, so they won't offer up too much. I expect something like Marcus Smart of the Celtics and a low 1st round pick to be the range of offers coming in.
Just look at Al Horford. No one blew the Hawks away, because they all knew they could get him for just money in the off season. Celts stood pat at the deadline and picked up Horford this off season without giving up anything. This is the challenge that the Thunder face: Take pennies or take nothing.
I think the question celtics (and others) are making themselves is: can a westbrook-lead team win it all?
If you take a look at the games were Durant was out with injury, the answer is an easy no: too much hero ball.
Just like Iverson, Westbrook will most probably go down as a fan favorite without a ring. Just like Iverson, he needs the ball in his hands A LOT, and while that makes subpar teams stay afloat, it prevents them from growing, as well.
So there you have the reason OKC is looking at pennies on the dollar offers...

Westbrook is still a freak, and you would think that given his talent level he would totally be capable of leading a team to the championship. But you're right, he's just missing "it" and I don't think he ever becomes the player he's truly capable of becoming. I hope he signs with the Lakers this off season and my C's look elsewhere.
