I will confess that this was not yarn at the start of my self imposed handspun2hat challenge, but in fact was a rarely used cowl I had knit years ago that i decided was destined to be a hat all along. With that in mind I proceeded to use a technique called "frogging" to once again have a skien of yarn that I knit into an awesome seed stitch hat with a pom pom for a friend. I look at these pics and am even more convinced that just because things my be one way doesn't mean they can't be another!
P.S. - Its called "frogging" because you have to "ribbit" out. The stitches that is. Knitting code can be so much fun!
