Made some progress on my Cross Stitch over the weekend. 6 hours of flying... minus 2 hours of sleep and 1 hour of reading... carry the 1... multiply by watching Mama Mia 2 on the in-flight movie screen... I think I could have made more progress but overall I am happy.
😁

Today I wandered around Racine, Wisconsin after my meetings and visited the Wind Point Lighthouse. It was built in 1880!

The history sign-

I sat by Lake Michigan for about 20 minutes, watching the birds and waves.

There was a small garden with a bench in the shade of the old foghorn building. It was about 93 degrees Fahrenheit but quite nice in the shade as there was a breeze.

I noticed this old clock on my way back to my hotel. It looks so odd, I went around the block twice before pulling in to grab a photo-

Wonderful photos as ever (and als allays I want to beam) Interestingly I would have never guessed that it’s so so warm, perhaps the lake/water photo deceived me into thinking it was cooler.
The clock is - ahem - very special. What is this??? It looks a bit organic, like wood... very Stange.
I also wondered about the light sign in the background of this photo. It says „Cheese - brat stor“ (or this is what I deciphered) And I wondered what they sell... doesn’t mean „brat“ spoiled or rude child? I am so intrigued, there may be a story hidden.

Wisconsin is known for Cheese and there happens to be a Brat Store with Cheese at this highway exit. They sell many kinds of Bratwursts and Sausages and hot dogs and tubular meats. And Cheeses. :)
The clock is wood and metal. Reminds me of a butterfly chrysalis. I don't know what will hatch from it but we should hope it likes cheese and sausage.
😁

Weird clock. But I suppose it does get people's attention.

I know the feeling when you think you could have done more... but as long as you are moving forward, it means you are getting there with your stitching project :D
I love that clock, looks really wacky :DDDD
