Hi Bears, I am from Nepal and it's my pleasure to share facts about Nepal. In this series, we will together different aspects of Nepal together. I will do my best to bring it daily.
The Himalayas is a synonym to Nepal as Nepal is land of Himalayas. To the North, there lie the big Himalayas keeping beautiful Nepal in its lap. The Himalayan range covers South-central Asia and extends around 800km. Nepal occupies east-central section that covers 8 of the 10 top highest peaks in the world.

The Himalayas is also border to Tibet and Nepal. The highest peak featured in Nepal are:
- Everest (8,850 meters)
- Kanchenjunga (8,586 meters)
- Lhotse (8816 meters)
- Makalu (8,463 meters)
- Cho Oyu (8,201 meters)
- Dhaulagiri I (8,167 meters)
- Manaslu I (8,163 meters)
- Annapurna I (8,091 meters)

All these peaks are taller than 8000 meters. K2 and Nanga Parbat are other 2 mountains that are in the top 10 and are outside Nepal.
