Is Nepal a Poor country ?

When it comes to Nepali People, we don't tolerate anyone telling us poor. If one foreigner says Nepal is a poor country then the foreigner will get slap in his face as the whole country is offended and they are angry with the person.

But is Nepal really poor ?
When a foreigner says Nepal is poor then people will say that Nepal maybe economically poor but they are rich in diversity and natural resources.
But is being rich in diversity and natural resources enough ?
To be straight forward they are the facts your social teacher teaches you in school but you won't be able to do anything with diversity and natural resources if it is not used properly. The GDP and per capita income is very less and we need to except this fact, because there is data to prove it.

And I don't think when you see a beggar in street and think he is rich just because he has a good heart and it won't give the beggar the good food. It doesn't ever mean we are comparing Nepal with beggar country and this is just example.

Need to clarify this because we have many butt hurt people in Nepal.

Whatever you say but human psychology is that you will judge a person richness or poorness with the amount of value they have. And you must know everyone is not "Buddha" and it's their right to say a poor country poor.

So instead of attacking the person who told you poor, don't care him/her and do your work and make yourself and your country prosperous to make them feel bad about what they said. It is absolutely possible to make Nepal a developed country within 5 to 10 years if everyone works to develop the country but this habit of focusing on unnecessary thing is killing us.
