Raute are the most primitive tribe of Nepal. They are living the live that an ancient human lives. They are specially found in hilly areas of Nepal inside the jungle living in a community.
They used to believe that touching Money is a sin but this concept is slowly degrading with them as government is giving them some money which is making their live way much easy. Government and non governmental agencies have tried several times to shift Raute to village or a city but they are not willing to move.
Raute live inside a jungle by making clothes tents. They hunt to eat and make wood utensils to sell and buy some food for them. They have a head Raute who takes care of all of them and speaks with the visitors. The condition of children living there is poor as many of them don't get a chance to study and not to mention they don't get enough cloths and food.
Raute live in a place only for 6 months and leave. They find another place in the jungle full of wood and settle there for rest 6 months and leave. Many movies and documentary is made on them. The head of them and some senior member are travelling to the cities to give interviews to the media and asking for help.
Nowadays they have even started farming and some of the kids are also getting education. Hope their condition will be better without affecting their culture.
