Roger Federer Moves Easily into the 2018 Australian Open Finals
MELBOURNE (Reuters) - Swiss singer Roger Federer sealed himself in the final of the Australian Open Grand Slam 2018 after beating South Korean Chung Hyeon on Friday (26/1/2018). Federer won after Chung Hyeon failed to finish the game until the end due to injury.
Although the match did not last until the end, Federer has won in two sets with a score of 6-1 and 5-2. The 35-year-old has shown impressive performances from the start.
The first set game went very easy for Federer. The strikes he wielded could easily produce numbers because Hyeon could not be helped well.
Federer did not get any meaningful resistance from the 21-year-old throughout the set. Hyeon can only produce one point in the first set of matches that ended with a score of 6-1.
In the second set, Hyeon tries to get up. However, the injury suffered seems to have disrupted Hyeon's movement to dispel the hard-hitting blows from Federer. Figures were easily re-print the numbers up to score 4-1.
The second-half game was temporarily suspended because Hyeon apparently could not bear the pain of injury suffered on the legs. He also received medical treatment at halftime.
