Should you use your company's marketing material?

Today I want to talk about whether you should use your company's marketing material.

A lot of people have been doing it. A lot of companies have been creating the own marketing material, so that the distributor can use it.

I'm going to tell you the pros and cons, and I want to challenge you to think a little bit whether you should use it or not because your upline is going to tell you to use it.

The Pros
The pros of using it, is that it's compliant.

The company would never shut you down and saying that you're using material that is not compliant.

And it's quick to adopt and to use. ​

You don't have to spend majority of the time creating videos and posting it on YouTube and things like that.

The Cons
The cons is that...

Or what you should not do, is that a lot of people are posting these videos on their Facebook profile, or sometimes they post it on their friend's profile.

That's a big no, no because they're just spamming people with their company's marketing material, and thinking that it will help them to grow their company.

The fact is, if you just spam people with those videos it's not going to get you any results, because your friends did not ask for those videos!

They may or may not be interested.

There Is Another Option
What you should do instead is create your own material without any company or product name.

Here's the thing ... I said that using your company's marketing material is going to get you a quicker start, because you don't have to create anything.

But think about this - if everybody starts posting their company's video even in a legitimate way.

Even if your friend is asking for it, there's no you in it. And then people might be like, "Oh, I've seen it before."

What you want to do in the front end of your funnel... [A funnel meaning when people turn from not knowing what you are to knowing about your company material to buying or joining your company.]

...at the top of your funnel, you should be posting your own material, so that nobody knows about your company or product.

You want to create curiosity! Keep it short and sweet!

Keep it short and sweet and keep duplication in mind, because other team member might be using that video.

Again, there's no company or product name, so you will not be stealing your teammates leads.

Once you created these videos when you post it, you want to have a call to action (CTA).

At the end of each video saying, "If you are referred by someone or by me and want to learn more about X, Y and Z, send an email to this email address."

Or, "Comment below for more information."

This way, you have your own marketing material with no company name, so people are curious to what you have.

They are not like, "Oh, I know about that company. It's a scam."

You totally eliminate that objection. ​

People want to know what you have, and when they give you the contact information or when they email you THEN it's time to use your company's material.

You're going to say, "Hey I've got a quick video that's going to explain what I'm doing. It's 15 minutes and here's the link."

That's the ONLY time you should be using your company's marketing material. ​

This way I guarantee, you're going to have an explosive growth in your team.

Creating Your Own Content
If you start creating your own material, let's say - making your own video and you're in the health and nutrition industry.

Talk about losing weight!

Everybody wants to lose weight at the beginning of the year.

Or if you are in the cryptocurrency space, talk about "What is Bitcoin?"

And translate into how they can actually make money through what you have.

If you LEAD with value, if you start teaching people, giving value to people and at the end of the video, give them a way to contact you...

...I can guarantee you have a lot more success than just posting your company's material everywhere on social media or sharing with everybody that you know.
