Character Generation might look limited but under the hood there's more numbers than Fibonacci
its been the decision from the start to keep out as many actual numbers as possible , while you CAN see your relative barchart which can give you a feeling on how your character is balanced you never know if you have 17 strength or 50 ...
no numbers, wherever possible, its not for the min-maxers but its gonna be not for the main mass anyway
and i am an amateur after all, not salesforce , its not actually about "what YOU want" (but neither was Dark Souls ... )
