What Jon didn't manage to do right from the start was to launch the tribe for CTP on Steem-Engine. And I was expecting that moment to let you know of the news!
Affiliate marketing is a niche on the whole internet, and often looked down to, but if you get to know it, you'll find out that little niche is quite big. And on CTP you can learn various aspects of it, put them to practice and ideally make a profit. If you know SteemSavvy, you have an idea what to expect from the training part of CTP at least.
Actually, we have websites with affilate programs here in our ecosystem. Steem Monsters, probably the most successful business on Steem, is the best example that comes to my mind.

This is a tribe for CTP specifically, not affiliate marketing in general. The tag to use is ctp, if you are interested on posting in this tribe, but make sure it's CTP related. I'm waiting for Jon's announcement with the rules and technical details, like the author/curation split and stuff. Let's give the man a break, I hear he's not having enough sleep lately! :|
You should poke around! It's likely this will be a niche tribe, but one active I assure you, because Jon knows how to keep his membership engaged, and it's a strong community behind!

Really feeling this one, I’ve got ~20yrs experience (+ certifications) to share... from ancient PPC ads to FB and a-ads network. Will definitely jump in when I can.
All I can say now is— google analytics, trackable shortlinks and email lists, never go shilling without them ;)

Yeah it’s tough, all depends on the channel really... for example their perfectly fine on twitter or FB but shunned upon on Steem 🤷🏽♂️
Still a must to know which of your efforts are giving the best ROI, however you can. Without metrics, you’re marketing blind. (No pun intended, just an old saying)
