It all started with an idea from the youngest of the Spanish family Eiriz. His name is Ignasi and as described on the crowdfunding page, since he was a child he got used to filling his closet with what his three older brothers no longer used. That was when his idea of starting to make a conscious consumption of fashion was born.
And to extend that philosophy is in the process of launching an application that helps people to buy clothing and accessories products that have certain ethical conditions of purchase as reusable and recyclable raw materials, social and environmental impact of the company, among others.
The application is called Ethical Time and is now in a phase of collecting money to be released officially in May 2018. Initially it will only work in Spain, but the idea is to extend it to other countries.
"Often our values are not the same as those of the clothing brands we wear, but it is not easy to find alternatives either." With Ethical Time we want to make possible the coherence between values and actions, and be able to offer the alternative to a topic that We are often afraid to reflect: labor exploitation, "explains Ignasi Eiriz, its founder, why on the crowdfounding page.

The application aims to connect people and brands. Users will have the option of putting sustainability filters such as raw materials, natural dyes, waste and decent work, which is the main condition for which Eiriz invented the app and which will be required of any company. "We have to be realistic and we can not demand the same from a brand that is totally sustainable from the beginning than from another that is not, what we always say and the main requirement that can not be removed is that of decent work," he says. founder to El País of Spain.
Once the user downloads the application, which is free, it will determine what garment he is looking for, what is the price he is willing to pay, where he is and what sustainability conditions he wants, the system will launch the options for online stores and physical, which will also indicate how to get to them.
Through crowdfounding, the application has already reached the goal of collecting more than $ 60,000,000. In addition, another form of financing will be through annual subscriptions so that users get discounts and benefits in stores.
Also, with the initiative, its creator aims to demystify that sustainable fashion is expensive or hippie.
In germany we have a similar app. Many people are using it, so it works quite well!
