How should I start Steemit?

Every social media is made from the efforts of users.
Such as Youtube, Facebook, Instagram...

This one should be the same, right? I'm actually posting for the first time.
(I'm one of the peeking people)

If I post anything, my post will jump into the steemit sea and wave around until I delete it.

What else I should know about it?
