The international airlines control agency Eurocontrol has warned airlines to avoid the eastern Mediterranean sea in fear of air strikes in Syria within the next 72 hours. Qatar-based news al-Jazeera reported.
Eurocontrol said that during this period, aircraft may be used in aircraft or ground cruise missiles in Syria. There may also be occasional interruptions in the operation of radio navigation equipment. However, there was no clarity about who could carry out these missile attacks in Syria, the Eurocontrol.

The agency said that in the next 72 hours, due to possible attacks by land and cruise missiles from the aircraft in Syria and due to obstruction of the radio communication system, it is necessary to remain alert during the transit of the eastern Mediterranean Sea.

US President Donald Trump and his Western allies are discussing possible attacks on Syrian President Bashar al-Assad for allegedly using chemical weapons. On Tuesday Trump canceled his scheduled Latin America tour. Instead, he wants to focus on the issue of Syria, the White House said. Earlier on Monday, Trump warned that if the government forces are involved in chemical attacks in Syria, quick and strong action will be taken.

The United States and Russia have failed to pass the resolution in the UN Security Council to form a new expert group in Syria's chemical weapons attack investigation. After that, the statement was given by Eurocontrol.

France's President Emanuel Maroon said on Tuesday that he will discuss again in the United States and the United Kingdom and within a few days, the decision to conduct military operations in Syria will be taken.
