Did an interview with Composite Cone!

Using analog synthesizers, sequencers, and drum machines to make quality electronic music, Composite Cone from Melbourne, Austalia has music and a few words to share with us.

INTERVIEW WITH COMPOSITE CONE BY JOSEPH CORRAO:

Joseph Corrao: What originally inspired you and got you interested in making music?

Composite Cone: I started playing drums at age six. That is what originally got me into music in general. At around age ten my uncle got me a copy of FL Studio 5. And at age 13 I discovered Aphex Twin and Boards Of Canada. I was instantly obsessed. I knew I wanted to make electronic music like that one day.

J.C: Very cool, those guys tend to have that effect on people. If you could collaborate with one artist or band, who would it be?

C.C: Aphex or BoC would be the obvious choice (an impossible dream haha) but in reality I would love to collaborate and make some high speed Techno with D.Dan or Tensal, although im not known enough for that to ever happen.

Joseph Corrao: Obviously, it would be the coolest thing. I'd love to hear those collaborations happen. D.Dan or Tensal, if you see this, send Compostice Cone a message and get something going!
What is your favorite part of music, what do you most enjoy about it? Also, what's your favorite BoC album?

Composite Cone: I love it when I get so invested in a song, that I have been working on it for 12 hours straight and still have the motivation to keep improving it. Yeah, I guess just getting so caught up in it that time almost seems to speed up. I like that.

Geogaddi. I love how dark and menacing it is, yet still calming. I actually also love The Campfire Headphase. Very underrated.

Joseph Corrao: What can we expect next from you?

Composite Cone: I actually don't know. There is a part of me that wants to keep going all out in Techno. There is also another part of me that wants to quit.

J.C: That would be terrible if you quit. I hope that won't happen anytime soon. Is there anything you would like to mention that I didn’t ask?

C.C: The scene in Melbourne is weird. Nobody cares about local talent at all so I just wanted to say thank you for reaching out to me for an interview. It means a lot!

J.C: I hope your scene or scenery changes soon enough and your music finds it crowd. No problem, thank YOU for sharing your music and insight with us all. I hope you continue to make inspiring music!
