Larry Page, the co-founder of Google, sees flying taxis as a reality three years from now

Remember the movies from the 90's with the flying cars and yellow cabs? They could become reality according to the co-founder of Google, Larry Page who sees himself in a flying cab three years from now.

The man in the title already founded an aeronautical company to make his fantasy a reality. Kitty Hawk is the name of the company that is prepared to create the first "flying Uber". The name of the taxi is "Cora" and it will be able to fly by itself having a range of 100 km with a charge and it can be booked from a smartphone.

The company is already working on the project and has also the approval from New Zealand to test it there. It is supposed to launch the official version of it in three years.

The taxi will be actually "a coupe" since it will be able to transport only two persons at a time, having a 3.6 meters wingspan. Zephyr Airworks is the name of the company from New Zealand that manages everything for the flying taxi there. Even the mobile app used to order the cab.

The "Cora" prototype was supposed to be presented to the public at the end of 2017, but that didn't happened. A Chinese company named Ehang was supposed to fly tourists in Dubai with a drone in 2017 also, but we still have to wait. At least we know that the tech that we've seen in SF movies has great chances to become a reality.
