Poor Vitalik - All he wants is fraudulent accounts using his name on Facebook to be deleted

in news •  7 years ago

If you follow Vitalik Buterin on Twitter you may have noticed his tweets about him not giving away Etherum to fans all over the world by any means and advises them not to give their ETH wallet addressees expecting them to be filled with Etherum. All this happened after many accounts using his name appeared on the social network platform asking naive people to give their ETH wallet addressees for giveaways.

He even changed his name on Twitter to " Vitalik "Not giving away ETH" ButerinVerified account" in order to make everyone clear which is his account. He underestimated though the crooks that were practicing this kind of scams because they found another friendly platform full of Vitailk's fans eager for ETH giveaways. You guessed it...its Facebook.

Although Twitter managed to purge fraudulent accounts impersonating Vitalik, Facebook seems to have disappointed the young entrepreneur. He made a request to Mark Zuckerberg's social media platform for deleting such a fraudulent account with no result or any sort of feedback.

"Over 5 days and that https://t.co/fjn73K0tQc account has still not been removed. Shame on you, @facebook. BTW, can someone who has not yet deleted their instagram account please report https://t.co/CgxMmjAsLU ? I HAVE NO SOCIAL MEDIA EXCEPT REDDIT AND TWITTER. https://t.co/SRIE6S8kkx

Now that is all clear about what social media platforms Vitalik Buterin uses and his official account name there should not be any more confused persons giving their ETH addresses to scammers trying to impersonate him.
