Guido's deputy detention in Venezuela, US anger

 The leader of the country's intelligence agency, Sibin, has detained opposition leader Juan Guido's congressional deputy Edgar Jambouro. He was arrested on Wednesday (May 8th) while sitting inside his car. Detectives escorted a truck with the help of a truck and dragged them into the headquarters. The US government has expressed anger over the incident. They have warned that the consequences would be horrified if Edgar was not released. 


 In the beginning of this year, protests started in Venezuela against allegations of electoral fraud and economic crisis. On January 23, the opposition leader Huan Gaido announced himself the interim president. President Nicolas Maduro declared the government illegal, he declared himself a legitimate interim president. Guido announced a sudden coup in a video message last week, Several military personnel were seen in the video with him. The United States declares support for the coup. On the next day, President Nicolas Maduro demanded that the coup attempt should be rejected. He said Venezuela would never bow down to the imperialist power.

On Tuesday, the Maduro Legislative Assembly agreed to withdraw parliamentary impunity from them to face trial in the future, with more than six lawmakers, including Edgar Jambhorno. Opposition did not agree with the decision of the council. Earlier, the Supreme Court charged those law-keepers with conspiracy, revolt and betrayal. Three more lawmakers were accused on Wednesday for the same charges.Edgar Jambranan tweeted at 6:40 pm local time on Wednesday local time. There he wrote, Sibin members surrounded his car outside the Democratic Action Party's headquarters in Caracas La Florida. In the Twitter post, he also wrote, "We were surprised by the behavior of Sibin. Without driving us out of the car, the truck was tied with a rope tied to it.
