BEIRUT, LEBANON (7:15 P.M.) - The Syrian Arab Army's (SAA) elite Tiger Forces have just launched a big assault in the Jaysh Al-Islam held town of Douma this evening, a military source told Al-Masdar News.
According to the source, the Tiger Forces are attacking the western axis of the Douma Orchards, which is the same place the Republican Guard just scored a major advance in.
The Tiger Forces were initially pegged to lead this offensive, but were later ordered to hold off due to the ongoing talks with Jaysh Al-Islam.
The Syrian military is currently attempting to take control of all the orchards in Douma; if successful, they will be able to force Jaysh Al-Islam to the negotiations table again.
