Followers of western mainstream media and its regional propagandists, especially the hardcore Sheeple of them, are bombarded daily with non-stop lies that go all the way from weather forecasts to the number of deaths from the pandemic. Nothing new here, those have mastered the art of lying to justify wars for the past decades.
One of the recently repeated stories circulated in those media outlets talks about clashes between the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) soldiers and the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) fighters.
A member of the Quora Q&A wiki platform asked this question: Is it true that the Syrian Army and IRGC are fighting each other in Syria?
And the platform forwarded his question to me in which I left my answer there and copying it here in full to preserve it from Quora's heavy censorship and also to share knowledge among the readers of this platform. Here's my reply to him:
Yes, it’s true that the Syrian Army and the Iranian IRGC are fighting each other in Syria, they’ve been in direct clashes since the first IRGC soldier stepped foot in the country. Dozens are killed on both sides every single day, but that’s only in western mainstream media and its regional outlets.
On the ground and in reality, there’s, first of all, NO IRGC combat soldiers existing in Syria, only advisers embedded with the Syrian Army units, mostly communication, drones navigators and air defense experts, those usually do not contribute in battles and aren’t armed like normal soldiers would be.
But if you rely on western mainstream media and western officials the Syrian state days were numbered in April 2011 and already collapsed, the Syrian president and his family were living since on a Russian navy ship, and if you count the number of SAA soldiers defecting to the al-Qaeda based on those same sources they’ll be not less than 400,000 out of the 120,000 active SAA soldiers. Believe whichever version you find logical.
