Thank you to Raymond Ramsey for sharing this. vitally important for Every parent! There need to be safeguards for children when dealing with technology. Always be aware of what site your children are on. It is not advised even by specialists to allow technology in the bedroom at night.

See short news clip telling a parent's story at the bottom of article.

One thing that may work if your children are scared at night is to put on a story. Old CD's are still available so you do not have to have a device connected to the internet. This does wonders and is good for them.

Calm music is also a good option, but I realize you don't want to create the dependency to where they feel they need their phone with a playlist to go to sleep when they are older because then they will be tempted to get on the internet when they Can't sleep and you're asleep.

Limits on tech, we all know this and I realize easier said than done. Sadly, when parents aren't aware, it takes a dangerous encounter and damage already done to the child to realize how Imperative it is to Not allow tech to have so much influence. I don't say this lightly, we have connected people in my household who were aware of the dangers. My kids could take devices apart, put them back together. Household can troubleshoot any hardware or software issue and understands security and safe guards against hackers and infiltration, but there is not a program that will protect from everything.

We still have our own nightmare story nothing keeps people Exempt from the threat. No one is Above the damage that can be done no matter how knowledgeable and proficient at technology they believe themselves to be. Always a threat that looms.

Best way to curb, knowing where your children are going not just physically, but online. There are those who gain your child's trust when you are unaware. As you know, kids can holler out they're on a site you deem safe, only the old, verify with your own eyes works or remote controlling their screen. This means your best bet is only allowing the tech in the same room with you and not in the bedroom, or less time on tech, which I have to say could be Very Beneficial. They get Plenty of tech time at school.

Think the school has everything locked down that can keep those predators out? Remember, some of them pose as teens or children themselves. Sometimes the predators reside Within the school. I've seen how "locked down" their technology is at a local school. Not so much. Also, many teachers go ahead and allow access to their phones During class. Those kids would Hate my class. I would be collecting phones at beginning of class and saying, you can come back at the end of the school day to have it. Then we all Know what would happen. Parents and SJW's would have my head and I would lose my job! What a world we live in!

Supposed to be the Best IT team around, they likely have good intentions, but no one can be fully prepared for the onslaught of new programs and techniques that Can and Do get past their "security."

Best protection is being engaged with your children since you are not with them at their friend's homes or with them at school.

Here is what CBS had to say,

Hear a California mother's story here on how her daughter with autism was doing odd things in the house and told her mother about seeing Momo suggesting these dangerous acts.

Whether the challenge is a hoax or not, officials say it's a teachable moment. "That's really an explosive fire danger," said Captain Chris Vestal with Sac Metro Fire. "We really encourage parents to pay attention to what their children are doing on the internet, ask them what they're doing."

Across the country, kids are reporting seeing Momo videos with the strange cartoon-like character telling kids to do dangerous things.

CBS Los Angeles reports pediatrician and mom Dr. Free Hess was disturbed by what she found: Violent content, sexual innuendos and clips spliced into kids videos that include a man giving tips on suicide.

"We have no idea what seeing this content does to children, their brains are are not fully developed so they're not able to think through complex situations such as the things that they are seeing," Dr. Hess said.

The original image of "Momo" is actually a sculpture called "Mother Bird" by Japanese artist Keisuke Aisawa, which was on display in 2016 at the Vanilla Gallery in Tokyo. There is no evidence that Aisawa's company Link Factory was involved in the creation or execution of the Momo challenge. Link Factory did not immediately respond to CBS News' request for comment.

Like most memes, the Momo challenge seemingly disappeared soon after it went viral. But this week, parents across the U.K. are finding the game on WhatsApp as well as hidden within animated videos for children across social media. "WhatsApp cares deeply about the safety of our users," a WhatsApp spokesperson told CBS News on Tuesday. "It's easy to block any phone number and we encourage users to report problematic messages to us so we can take action."

A YouTube spokesperson told CBS News on Tuesday: "Our Community Guidelines prohibit harmful and dangerous challenges, including promoting the Momo challenge, and we remove this content quickly when flagged to us."

You won't find YouTube taking responsibility. They remove those who tell the truth of what they Do allow to get through.

Google owns YouTube and here are previous breakdowns of what these people are involved in. They keep people distracted with the entertainment industry and we all are busy trying to just make a living so this is usually not seen or researched by the general public.

I would imagine many people have their own nightmare stories to tell. Perhaps they like I do, feel ashamed that they had the ability to catch it, but were duped. Then the guilt sets in if you let it. God is always there to talk to and help guide you in understanding how to navigate this crazy world.

Following is the email.

Parents/Staff-

We wanted to make you aware of a disturbing viral “Momo Challenge” that has been circulating nationally on Facebook, YouTube Kids, ROBLOX and WhatsApp.

This “game” starts by challenging the receiver (generally a child or young teen) to perform small tasks, quickly escalating to more serious violent acts including self-harm and suicide. The challenge also threatens to kidnap and/or murder children and their families if the participant doesn’t comply with the tasks.

Please note that in response to this we have blocked the search terms “momo” and “momo challenge” on school devices.

We encourage parents to continue to have regular conversations with children about online safety and monitor what's happening on their accounts. Talk about the content they access, the importance of not accepting any communications or invitations from people they do not know, and not sharing personal information.

Here is a video telling of a predator show on Netflix, predatory curriculum and what has been done on some gaming platforms meant for kids, but have proven to be points of access for predators showing children violent sexual acts using their favorite character.

You Tube didn't want people aware of what they were allowing or not able to stop, so they took this video down. I was able to put it up on a non censoring platform called Bitchute.

Netflix Investigation for Distribution of Child Porn This was deleted and I received a Strke on YT
Also covers a bill Planned Parenthood tried to sneak in involving sex ed promoting experimenting, teaching of different positions as young as 12
Covers what Colbert supports in children's programing that a parent group says is disgusting and inappropriate for children
Roblox gang rape and sex scenes in their game marketed to children
I think it's clear Why I got a strike for this. It appears certain people do not want the general public knowing about the agenda they allow and promote.

As a follow up story, this reminded me of another internet push that was very dangerous for children and attempted to entice with the horror genre. Children are by nature curios and do not realize until it's too late that it will cause them long lasting damage, nightmares and in this young girl's case. . .attempted murder by girls who were supposed to be her friend.
