A fisherman in a village on the island of Tawi-tawi, the Philippines to make an uproar after the villagers catch a squid 2.5 meters long.
When the giant animals were pulled ashore on Friday (6/4/2018), the villagers crowded with admiration.
"I know fishermen who catch these giant squid," said Harold Eduardo Curtis, a fisherman on Tawi-tawi Island.
"It's hard for him to bring the squid because it's so hard, it's so sweet, white, and bright," Harold added.
Harold added, the giant squid is very healthy and he believes it will taste very delicious when cooked. "This is the biggest squid ever caught around this island," he added.
"It appears that these animals come from a group of giant squid so that perhaps the same size or greater still in the ocean," said Harold
