This was really shocking news to me because I was thinking to myself, why would the World Health Organization need a public relations firm to help them? What would the objective be? But since some laws in the United States have to be obeyed the firm reported that a contract has been penned between the WHO and a firm called Hill + Knowlton Strategies - which is one of, if not the largest public relations firm in the world.

While the contract was disclosed at a not so impressive one at $135,000, the "order" was made by the W.H.O. for the firm to source celebrity influencers in order to boost the WHO's public image.
Personally, I think it says a lot about humanity that this would be an effective method of swaying public opinion but it is difficult to argue with the power of social media and also with how many idiots there are out there that will listen to anything that a particular celebrity, regardless of whether or not the things said celebrity is saying are actually true.
The thing that should concern you, and it really concerns me, about the public relations firm in question , Hill + Knowlton Strategies, is that they have a very successful track record of deceiving the public for hidden agendas. The most notable one may have happened in your lifetime and was the start of a very horrible and expensive trend with the United State military that continues to this day: The original invasion of Iraq in the early 90's.

The ins and out of this deal and the propaganda campaign surrounding it was not revealed until after the short, but very expensive "war" with Iraq was over. It all began with a very alarming "news story" from "eye witnesses" about a horrible situation involving massive human rights violations.
The major story that was on the lips of every news station immediately and was included in Presidential speeches made by George Bush Sr. as well as other prominent Senators, was about a story of Iraqi soldiers entering a Kuwaiti hospital, going to the maternity ward, and then at gunpoint removing infants from incubators, removing said incubators and then leaving the babies on the floor to die.
Well, that sounds pretty horrible doesn't it? The news was delivered to the media by a teary eyed 15-year old girl before Congress who was identified only as "Nayirah," the fake name given was meant to protect her Kuwaiti family from retaliation by Iraqi officials and military.
This story was the turning point in American public opinion about whether or not the United States should get involved in a military conflict with Iraq and was the most cited reason for invasion and liberation of Kuwait.
What they did not reveal was the fact that "Nayirah" is a member of the Kuwait Royal family, her father was Saud Nasir al-Sabah, Kuwait's Ambassador to the United States. Even worse, it was later revealed that the Vice President of Hill and Knowlton Strategies had coached "Nayirah" on what information to present, and how to present it. Amnesty International corroborated her story based solely on the testimony given by evacuees.
Prior to her testimony before Congress the US was very divided on whether or not to invade. Shortly after public opinion shifted dramatically and the resolution to declare war on Iraq passed in Congress due to overwhelming public support.
you can see the major shift in opinion that occurs right after "Nayirah's" testimony
The biggest problem with all of this isn't the coaching, or who this girl is, but the fact that every single word of what she said was a LIE. The horrible hospital incident she described NEVER HAPPENED. In fact, there are reports that after quickly conquering Kuwait the Iraqis were purported to have sent 1,000 doctors to staff the abandoned 14 hospitals in Kuwait. The Kuwait government has admitted this years later. When an investigation of the hospitals happened after the short "war" was over, it was determined that some patients including babies had in-fact died, but incubators were not removed and these deaths occurred because medical personnel abandoned the facilities.
The people of the United States had been intentionally manipulated by a public relations firm that was hired by Kuwait specifically for that purpose.
This is the same P.R. firm the W.H.O. is currently employing
Does this not concern you? Because I seriously think it should when a firm with a proven track record of intentionally lying to the public via the media is under contract with the very organization that many people cite as being the authority on public health and therefore public opinion on how Covid should be handled.
are you freakin kidding me? This should be on every news station in the world.

Perhaps this will be the next big thing that they scrub from the major social media sites.

yikes, this is tragic. I don't trust anyone about this covid stuff anymore because it doesn't seem to matter what sort of standpoint you have, you can find "reliable" information to back up any opinion. I'm over it.
I do think it is shit that the WHO has this firm though... did they really think the news wasn't going to get out? Isn't there another firm they could have used that didn't have such a terrible past. It's almost laughable.
