BuzzSteem - Another Day, Another School Shooting

in news •  7 years ago

Hi friends!

I wish I was coming at you with better news this morning, but sadly there has been another school shooting today, killing 8, in Santa Fe, Texas.

I took the time today to speak about only this, as I feel there are some common misconceptions surrounding school shootings, and more than anything, I long to get to the bottom of WHY these keep happening, rather than just pointing fingers at something to help me feel better at night.

Doing that is not going to prevent future incidents. It's hard to know if anything even will, but that's why open discussion is so important!

Hope you are all having a Fantastic Friday. Hold your loved ones close today, the parents of some of the students in Santa Fe were robbed of that today.

Stay Steemy my friends.

Really unfortunate to hear and praying for Rest In Peace. And these type of cruel situations are increasing day by day and it's really difficult to understand the human mindset sometimes, because these kind of actions really raises many questions, means how people really go into this phase and attempt these kind of cruel and inhuman activities. Wishing you an great day. Stay blessed.

I will never understand the mind of someone who causes such pain and horror.

You are saying true.

It is a shame that this seems to happen so often. As for bullying, yes it is everywhere. Cyber bullying isn't just one person messing with another. It is seen by many and this is what is hard for kids to deal with. Others chime in and it becomes a snowball effect type of situation. Good video @bethwheatcraft. I am glad you brought up this topic because it is an important one that needs to be discussed for sure.

Yeah it's depressing as hell. It is a cycle though. I think kids get "bullied" at home, and then they take it out on their peers, and the cycle never stops. Young minds are SO impressionable. I wish people would raise their kids with more care.

You really are hilarious... your reaction to the royal wedding is pretty much spot on.

Soooooooo..... being Australian, the whole gun thing has been a huge struggle for me... in Australia, only single-shot hunting rifles are allowed, and there are extremely strict regulations on those... we haven't had any mass shootings since.... so it's real easy for Aussies to roll their eyes and comment on Facey about how messed up America is... but we also have very clear borders and we don't have a government that is sneaky as all hell. We did also have a massacre recently as a dude drove his car down one of the busiest streets and hit like 20 people. So no solution is absolute.

I think America is in a super unique situation and I honestly don't see a clear solution ahead. There is so much potentially contributing to all of this; gun laws, big pharma, health care, bullying, media, multicultural clashes, it's super sad.

I am seriously considering only reporting on fun, goofy, weird news stories from now on. This mainstream stuff is too heavy for me. Plus, everyone knows this other stuff is happening.

I listen to a lot of philosophers, and a few of them address school shootings and the like, and relate it back to relationships in their life. Namely family. That's why I went off on a tangent with all that. I do think we could have stricter gun control, but I think it's naive to expect violence to stop. As I said, half of this was carried out with explosives, which are already illegal. I really hardly have an answer anymore...

Yeah, I hear you... I actually stopped listen/watching the news a decade ago... I really wasn't getting any benefit from it and it was getting me down.

As horrible as all this is... we're still the safest we've ever been... mankind has had an incredibly violent past.

Relevance: Countering the MSM by focusing on the mental health aspect of these mass shootings.

The school system needs decentralization. When you violate the Dunbar number, you create isolationism. Combine that with a corporate culture that worships the self and cultivates budding psychopaths and this is what you can expect to get. Then add in a state with an agenda for disarming the public because they've pulled off the largest bank heist in all human history and know that eventually they will have bail-ins and you have a perfect recipe for an impending bloodbath.

The bankers don't want guns in school and guns in church to become guns in banks when irate depositors realize they've been defrauded. What about guns at royal weddings? Why is that not a problem? You guessed it, authority always makes sure they write an exception to the law so they can remain armed while everyone else is forced at gunpoint into the gas chambers.

Schools weren't that large when I was young. Everybody knew each other. When my dad was young they went to a house with a single teacher and everyone was in the same classroom (several grades all together in the same grade). The Amish in this area have duplicated that same model. Their largest school size is about 30. Anything above the Dunbar number will just increase psychopathy.

I think that may be part of the problem, but then it doesn't explain the horrific amish shooting that took place in Lancaster County. All those little girls that were killed by that deranged, still-grieving father.

More than anything, the one thing in common that these killers have, is they are mentally distressed, and go untreated. I don't know what more we can do about that.

Ego is over the top now. It wasn't so hard a few decades ago to forgive and forget. Even the bullies would be put in front of the class after a transgression and the teacher would settle it right then and there and many times that would be the end of it. Those few who went too far after that got expelled and some ended up in prison.

this stuff is all a distraction. its all scripted for deliberately setting up their next move like a giant chess game. psy op a government funded DHS sponsored drill gone wild with all the same narrative and shitty interviews with brainwashed dumbass crisis actors and terrible script reading. Its to artificial to believe period. vegas shooting was fake as hell too there was not a single bullet hole anywhere in the field bleachers porta jons no where . cause its fake
