Refuses to stop digging a deeper hole for himself .. Trump is going through the worst week ever in Washington
ATLANTA, United States (CNN) - Donald Trump has not had many good weeks since he was sworn in as the 45th president of the United States. But this week was his worst week so far. This is the week in which the investigation into Russia's involvement in the 2016 elections was brought to the Oval Office and Trump himself.

The Washington Post reported on Wednesday evening that Trump himself was under investigation by Special Advisor Bob Mueller for possible obstruction of justice by his decision to dismiss former FBI director James Coomy.

Trump appears to have confirmed that report in a glee on Friday morning, saying: "I'm being interrogated to please the FBI director by the guy who told me that the FBI director is filming a witch hunt."

His aides were quick to explain that the president simply said he had read reports that he was under investigation but had not been told that he was being investigated separately.

whatever..

The key thing is that Mueller's investigation is widening, not narrowing. Trump's position of investigation is getting worse. Between Thursday morning and Friday morning, Trump published a series of tweets that indicate he is deeply frustrated by his current position.

Trump said on Thursday morning: "They have forged false collusion with the story of the Russians, and found no evidence, so they seek to (the charge) to obstruct justice about the false story."

By Thursday afternoon, Trump was reminding her remarks during the election: "Why do not the Hillary Clinton and Democrat dealings with Russia be seen, while my non-interaction with Russia is seen?"

It is not clear whether Trump does not realize the severity of the circumstances he now faces or simply does not care. But now he is in a position he can not get out of with words or tweets. Muller continues to employ investigators as the investigation expands.

Without Muller back from office - which would be a political suicide for Trump - the president must wait and see how the investigation unfolds.

The Trump problem - and the Republicans in Congress - is that Muller's investigation will take a long time. As the investigation reaches Trump - and with Trump's regular tirade on the investigation - it is almost impossible for the White House to get any easier to deal with.

The "cloud" that Trump had been complaining about for months had become bigger and darker this week. It is outside without an umbrella.

Donald Trump, for refusing to stop digging a deeper hole for yourself, this was the worst week for you in Washington.
