President of the United States Donald Trump is reportedly considering plans to hold a campaign for his candidacy for president in 2024. Trump is said to be planning to hold a 'celebration' to coincide with the day of President-elect Joe Biden's inauguration on January 21, 2021.
Sources familiar with talks about a possible Trump nomination in 2024. Trump is reportedly working on a strategy to remain relevant even after he steps down from the presidency. Talks revolve around Trump's renomination after Biden's first term has almost ended.
According to University of Richmond Law Professor Carl Tobias, it will be an "unprecedented" decision to host a campaign event on the day of the president's inauguration.
"No one who has lost the race to become President has ever announced his intention to run four years later on the day (when) the winner was inaugurated," Tobias told Business Insider in an emailed statement.
Quoting The Daily Beast, in early November Trump revealed the possibility of his re-nomination in the 2024 presidential election. He told his White House aides that he might announce his candidacy as soon as the end of December.
Reported by Business Insider, Saturday (28/11), the effort is symbolic of a series of Trump efforts to continue to thwart Biden's leadership.

Biden excelled in Trump's electoral vote. But he repeatedly refused to admit defeat. Although in one of his tweets, Trump appeared to acknowledge the results of the vote count, although he later retracted his comments.
"I admit nothing," he wrote at the time.
Trump's close associates, including Vice President Mike Pence, have also supported Trump's claim that their administration will continue for the next term. Meanwhile, Trump's other close circle, such as his daughter Ivanka and wife Melania, have urged Trump to accept the election results.
Trump himself has launched a series of legal attacks to overturn the election results. But so far, he has not won any of the lawsuits.
A few days ago the Public Services Administration (GSA) allowed the start of a formal transition process. Following the GSA announcement, Trump said he had authorized administrator Emily Murphy to begin the transition to the Biden presidency.
"Our case is still very much ongoing, we will continue to fight well, and I am sure we will win. However, in the best interest of our country, I recommend that Emily and her team do what is necessary in light of the initial protocol, and have informed us. my team to do the same, "Trump tweeted.
On the other hand, Biden admitted that he had not heard the news from Trump. Biden claimed to have started receiving details and information from national security officials and members of the Covid-19 task force.
"I'm sure that his chief of staff and my chief of staff have spoken, but no, I haven't heard anything from President Trump," said Biden.
