Syria, Iran, Ukraine: Engineered Crises on Radio Fault Lines

in news •  7 years ago

From the Middle East to Eastern Europe, there's no shortage of engineered crises on the geopolitical chessboard these days. James Corbett joins Lee Stranahan and Garland Nixon on Radio Fault Lines to put these crises into their historical perspective and discuss his recent work on "How To Engineer A Crisis."

@corbettreport It's all about gaining control of the public sentiment with propaganda. Corrupted media is their greatest asset. Most people are too busy or bored to do their own research so they blindly believe whatever they hear on the news.

All engineered crises on the geopolitical chessboard succeed due to ignorance. It's up to us to change the way the news are spread.

Thank you for that!

Wow such an informative news thank you.

did you heard the president allegedly used the "s" word!! OMG its a crisis!

This brings me to a topic I am wrasslin'. Given that propaganda exists, and that various nefarious actors undertake it, how can 'the people' be allowed to have their head (i.e. to be permitted by those presently ruling to choose their leaders, and between policies, of their unadulterated volition)?

If you, the leaders, don't use propaganda, your enemies do, and propaganda works. The enemy will subvert your 'pure democracy' by filling your people's ears with lies.

The only way to prevent this is to make lying impossible, and that is impossible.

Worse, there is a significant, and growing, portion of the population that has been bred to serve, that seeks to be led, rather than seeking to rule themselves. My guesstimate
(retrieved from a posterior orifice) is at least 1/3 of people not only have no interest in being free, but aren't even able to conceive it. Their conception of freedom is nothing more than having benevolent masters.

There is a contingent of psychopaths, about ~3% of the population, that has no conscience, and knows it, and considers themselves superior because of it. These psychopaths rise to positions of leadership often, and it almost seems as if humanity is being bred into two separate species: Homo invictus, the leaders, and Homo domesticus, the led.

The rest of us, Homo vulgaris, ordinary folk that try to sift the real from fantasy and choose leaders likely to best meet our needs, or eschew them as possible, are being culled.

Regardless of the cull, this group isn't homogenous, at all, and is captured by every stripe and kind of leader that emerges from the fertile training grounds of Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook, where leaders gain followers.

I am left stumped when trying to envision a political system that prevents propaganda from being not only crucial to benevolent leadership, but of primary importance, and democracy necessary as a method of propaganda, rather than actual choosing of leadership.

One only has to examine the example of the Democratic Party in the 2016 Presidential Election to see this is actually the case.

The Democratic Party has had to admit in open court that they do not allow their candidates to be chosen democratically, but instead use propaganda to get members to accept the leaders they put forward.

It is difficult for me to grasp that not only is the cake a lie, but that lying is the only way to make a cake.

You are at the forefront of this issue, per my understanding @corbettreport. Have you thoughts on what can be done about this problem of propaganda?

Thanks!

Propaganda, 12 years of government indoctrination primes the mind to see it as reality. Stay out of school!

Thanks for putting this up! Yeah it's harder to shift the opinion of someone that already distrusts you, much more difficult to get a foot in the door so to speak when people in a country have an "anyone but THOSE guys" attitude already towards those trying their hand at intervention or meddling.
