Club Brugge managed qualify for the next round in the Champions League after an impressive 10 on 12 in the 1st 4 rounds of the group stage. I missed most of that match but will be ready for the 3 games tonight even though I'm taking a rather low profile for the European matches when it comes down to betting this year.
Union vs Braga
Union (37M) is still a sold team this season and they really have put their focus on the Europa League which resulted in them taking a 9 on 9 so far including a 1-2 win last week against Braga (114M) who currently are 2nd in the group with 6 points. One of the big questions that remains for Union is how long they are going to be able to peep this up as they have a really busy schedule and don't rotate while injuries of A-Squad players do weaken them quite a bit. Burges who is one of their solid defenders is questionable for tonight and might start on the bench. Braga looks to take it seriously and had some rotation during the weekend in a match that they lost at home with a 0-1 score. it looks like they will go for it tonight and with a draw not being the worst result for both, I went for a 0.3 unit bet on
Braga +0.25 @ 1.870 given both the potential fatigue disadvantage for Union along with the rather big budget difference.
Djugarden vs AA Gent
AA Gent (69M) lost last week with 0-1 at home against Djugarden (18M) despite dominating the statistics and the main issue was AA Gent lacking the needed creativity. They did win with 0-4 against a weak Eupen over the weekend. AA Gent should have gotten a Penalty and Djugardens only really created 1 chance which they scored. Today is the reverse match away and AA Gent pretty much needs the win as they are 3rd in the group with 4 points while Djurgarden is 1st with 7. I do expect AA Gent to be the better team taking the initiative but it remains to be seen if they will be able to find the needed creativity today to score and not get hit by counters. Bets I will be keeping an eye out for are AA Gent to win, AA Gent - Corner handicap as they won by 10-2 last week, AA Gent Team Total Over. I like to see some confirmation first before getting in so for now

West Ham vs Anderlecht
Last week West Ham with somewhat of a B-Squad didn't play a great match while Anderlecht with their A-Squad played one of their better matches of the season which in the end still resulted in a 0-1 loss for them. This was not undeserved as finishing chances for both teams was the biggest issue and a bit more so for Anderlecht. West Ham now has 9 on 9 in the standings while Anderlecht is 2nd in the group with 4 on 9. West Ham most likely will play a B-Squad while Anderlecht won over the weekend after switching system in the 2nd half. This win cooled down the crisis a bit and there will be little pressure tonight as even with a loss they still have matters into their own hands. There will be 50k fans in the stadium tonight and 3k from Anderlecht. Anderlecht picked up extra injuries/illnes with Refaelov and Durantville while Ashimeru is also not available. I will just watch and see how the match plays out before possibly taking something.
