The new regular season starts today so let's get this going once again aiming to beat the market! There will always be 1 match on Friday, 3 on Saturday and 4 on Sunday so 1 match less compared to last season but more matches during the playoffs.
Union SG vs Anderlecht
This season will be a big challenge for Union as they once again changed coach and they now also lost more key players in Teuma, Bonifance, Kandouss, Adingra, Vertessen,... So right now they remain a big unknown in how they will perform. My expectation is that they won't be able to compete against top teams like the last 2 years but won't have a complete off-year still fighting for one of the last playoff 1 spots. Anderlecht had their worst season last year and also this year don't look like they will be able to compete for the title. They lost Verbruggen and Slimani who won them a lot of points at the end of last season and also 2 talented young players who had 1 year of contract left with Stassin and Sadiki. The team right now looks ok but not spectacular and they are missing creativity in the midfield. They did manage to win 3-0 from Ajax but some time before lost 0-6 agains Sparta.Based on the fact that both teams are currently an unknown and mainly Union facing a big challenge with a new coach and many key players needing to be replaced, I took a 0.5 unit bet on
Anderlecht +0.5 @ 1.811 also with an eye to take Anderlecht Team Total over which looks like it's set quite low based on the fact that they lack creative midfielders now. This is also a derby where Union is 6-0 in the previous encounters which is a streak Anderlecht really want to break. So overall line seems to be based too much on Union from the last years as the line is pretty similar to last season. A draw would not be the worst result for both teams which is covered by the handicap.
