The use of plastic bags is a big problem nowadays, we can find plastic waste in any part of the planet. Many countries are already banning their use, areas as influential as New York legislate for their total ban.

A Chilean company called SoluBag believes it has found the solution, for which it has developed a "plastic" bag that dissolves in water through the use of a formula based on polyvinyl alcohol, a soluble polymer that is non-polluting, water-soluble without any derivative of the Petroleum.

With this system can be manufactured, not only in plastic bags, also other types of consumer products. This bag can be used for the same uses as conventional ones.

The engineers Roberto Astete Boettcher and Alejandro Castro Riquelme are still working to improve the product and reduce manufacturing costs, with the idea of being able to compete in the market.
