straight from belgium : a not so welcome diversion from the infodemic

in news •  5 years ago  (edited)

which is causing the actual pandemic to be under-estimated

13 year old kid abducted for 42 days

from hartvannederland

i actually just heard about it as they were watching tv downstairs

in short : they kidnapped a kid from a ethnic-kurdish family and asked for 5 million euros , the assumption being that "la familia" was filthy rich

from smuggling drugs ...

7 guys arrested

among others : listen to that : one guy who has been convicted

FOR TERRORISM

TWICE

before in our country

i have no clue how that works ... (??!?)

but thats what they said - so this is euhm .. well oil on the fire i guess although flemish dont really do that thing american-style (and i dont think that would work here either, the watercannons and what not would be deployed quite fast , despite police not really intervening much except on surefire violations (like parking tickets and people who are drunk outside and stuff ...) its stil a police state with about the most number of cops per square metre

but if you look at the situation you certainly wouldnt say that but i also dont live in beverly hills and this is definitely not a city like brussels yet

and SO

convicted twice for terrorism HERE, gets arrested HERE after suspected from abducting a 13-year old from a familly who's suspected to have a zound of drug money

a not so welcome diversion from the pandemic but something that will hit a sore spot in the current state of the state

most definitely

DOES THIS EVER STOP ?

the thing where this WILL go like it does in the states : calls for limitation on personal freedom and

due to police letting shit slide - people eventually ask for it themselves

i kinda know that for a fact -

such is the way of the state

i don't wanna be too pro or con in either but i often get the impression they dont bother much for the simple reason that its pointless in a lot of cases, and so the things they do get them disliked b/c those things are often less bad - but euhm ... well i once had a cop 'working for me' lol in an alternative sentence (in another life) cos he talked back to a judge on a verdict of some whatever he arrested ... i got the same impression back then but

i dont think i wanna talk about any of that :)

and ofcourse ... there ARE those who take it for the steady and secure and definitely well-paid , i'm not sure Elliott Ness is still alive ... (but he was american anyway, right ? not belgian ...)

ah well ...

i almost think the media (owned by politics , maybe its different overthere?) welcomes it ... we actually don't have a real legal government since last elections, they put up some kind of interim with a woman as primus i personally never heard of (but im not really a reference when it comes to local history) - which, i think , is mostly a move to put her out of business as no one knows how to handle this and everyone knows belgians just , i dont know ... do whatever lol as long as it looks like nothings goin on, so maybe someone pushed her to an end-of-career move into a position of responsibility as a front-face during a time no one ever has had any experience with

that's one down for the next election

but maybe not

how would i know if politicians and our most glorious leaders would think that far ... safe to say belgium doesnt look good when it comes to corona but also safe to say and sadly thats not the sole responsibility of the governmentS

yes, FIVE governments ... since the sixth reformation (five administrations to pay tax to - and where does the money go , wonder wonder why is life so expensive and everything so impossible here and sigh and woe ... )

peple have a hand in it since no one really follows up, and zones like here that have nearly not been hit even less but the gov't can be pointed at to respond really late ... aye aye that they can

but

but but and but

i wonder : convicted two times for terrorism and then still found living here with a 13 year old abducted from a suspected drugtrafficking family .. does that happen a lot ? like there and there ?

well see, im not the only one who wonders that ...

how that's actually possible ... i dont know

no clue

and thus

this is thin ice by now (again ... i should get me some really long laufskis i seem to walk on it too much lately)

over and out then
