Florida Man news is always pretty exciting. I don't know how this all started but it has become a game of sorts to report the crazy as hell crimes that seem to take place in Florida on a regular basis. I've been to Florida a couple of times and really enjoyed it but I'm thinking that actually living there might make a person a bit nuts. Maybe there is something in the water there that we are not exposed to long enough when we are just visiting.

We joke about people having relations with farm animals but the sad reality is that there actually are people out there that do this. It just doesn't make the news very often, thankfully.
Chad Mason is in the news for all the wrong reasons when multiple neighbors spotted him having some lovey time with a dog in apartment complex grounds. This was witnessed by several people including a minor. When he was shouted at by a neighbor for what he was getting up to, Chad decided to run off and head to a church. Chad wasn't there to seek atonement for his discretions though, he had other things in mind.

Despite the fact that at this point nobody was actually pursuing him as police don't put a great deal of importance on someone getting jiggy with a dog, but Chad decided that now would be a good time to destroy an outdoor Nativity Scene. He smashed up statues, broke potted plants, and just made a mess of things causing an estimated $400 in damage.
Then, apparently not yet satisfied with the carnage that he had caused, this was a wonderful opportunity to turn up the heat when he destroyed a random mailbox and then tried, unsuccessfully, to steal a car. It was at this point that officers arrived on the scene and took Chad into custody. Chad didn't resist and according to officers, he didn't seem even remotely remorseful about what he had done with his afternoon.
The report didn't say anything about whether or not there was meth involved, but seeing as how this is Florida I normally assume that the answer would be "yes, of course there was meth involved."
Chad may end up showing a bit of remorse when the multiple charges are brought forth against him. He could be facing Federal charges on the new anti-animal-cruelty laws that Trump signed in a few years back. If he gets hit with that, he could be going away for a very very long time.
