Alfred Molina has finally opened up about her role as Doctor Octopus again in Spider-Man: No Way Home. Seventeen years ago, he played the same character in the film Spider-Man 2.
Launching Variety, after being involved in Spider-Man: No Way Home, Alfred Molina admitted that he was asked by Marvel and Sony to keep it a secret. Even though Zendaya had already revealed it at that time.
"When we started shooting, we were all ordered not to talk about this, because this should be some big secret," Alfred Molina said in an interview with Variety for his new film, Promising Young Woman.

However, Alfred Molina admitted that he was surprised when he surfed in cyberspace because his name had been mentioned to return as an octopus in a film that was not a continuation of the 2004 version of Spider-Man 2.
"But, you know, it's all on the internet. I actually describe myself as the worst secret keeper in Hollywood!" explained Alfred Molina.
