News

• Ethereum Flash Crash - ETH from 318 USD to 0.10 USD in seconds, was probably the hottest news of the week in cryptocurrency.
  According to GDAX, on 21 June 2017 at 12:30pm PT, a multimillion dollar market sell was placed on the GDAX ETH-USD order book. This resulted in orders being filled from $317.81 to $224.48, translating into a book slippage of 29.4%. This slippage started a cascade of approximately 800 stop loss orders and margin funding liquidations, causing ETH to temporarily trade as low as $0.10. GDAX suspended trading for a while. Later, on June 23, 2017, they announcedthe decision to cover losses from margin orders.

• Bank of Thailand acknowledged DLT’s potential to replace centralized institutions.
• Cambodia’s central bank has announced plans to continue work on a blockchain-based interbank payments and lending solution.

• Latest new and improved pyethereum released!
• Geth 1.6.6 (lgtm on mobile) is released.
• EIP648: nodes could parallel process on multiple cores. According to Reddit thread, this would allow us to put a massive sale like Status on just one of the threads, and the Ethereum network stays fine.
• TrueBit is hiring.
• VISA wants a blockchain engineer with Ripple or Ethereum experience

ICO / Token sale updates

• OmiseGo Logo - Unbank the Banked with Ethereum token (OMG) sales are closed on June 25, 2017. No more sales of OMG until the token is released to the market.
• EOS Token Distribution on June 26, 2017
• adToken – @metaxchain and @ConsenSysLLC partner to create #adChain and announce adToken sale. The launch is scheduled to occur at 9a.m. PDT on June 26, 2017. Due to time drift, the start block for adToken has changed to 3933451.
• DAO.casino announces terms of token sale to be held on June 29, 2017.
