With Trump’s new pick as Secretary of State, we might further look into the current CIA Head, former congressman Mike Pompeo. Apparently now Pompeo hates wikileaks and having an actual independent press, despite 9 times citing wikileaks while trying to elect Donal Trump president.
Nearly a year ago CIA Director Pompeo went off on wikileaks with some nonsense about being a “hostile intelligence service.” A funny way to describe the actual press protected by the first amendment. I didn’t know leaking the Pentagon papers was a criminal act all of the sudden?
http://web.archive.org/web/20161120094658/https:/twitter.com/RepMikePompeo/status/757253079922270208
On July 24, 2016 Pompeo cited Wikileaks for the claims Obama on down fixed the DNC. When asked about the tweet, Pompeo asserted despite him citing Wikileaks he did not perceive the organization to be “credible source of information.” So hopefully he doesn’t view himself as credible if he himself discusses in an amibiguous manner somehting he doesn’t find to be credible.
http://web.archive.org/web/20161120094658/https:/twitter.com/RepMikePompeo/status/757253079922270208
The Fake News CNN article referenced below further discusses how Pompeo utilized Wikileaks DNC leaks to assert that DNC colluded against Bernie Sanders. It is sad the plight of the actual free press is having due to at worst hypocrites, at best people saying what they have to for narratives, like Pompeo to mislead the people against the real issues of our time and the Constitution of the United States.

Interestingly, the president Donald Trump has yet to echo Pompeo’s attacks on wikileaks, as discussed by Kyle Cheney’s tweet retweeted by Assange. We will see how things play out.

The writer of this article is pointing out the fact that Pompeo cited Wikileaks numerous times while assisting Donald Trump with his election bid for President and is now speaking disparagingly about the organization, asserting that Wikileaks was a “hostile intelligence service”. Contradicting one's self apparently is the norm when it comes to our government officials and legislators. It’s as if they’re not aware of previous statements they have made. This can only point to their disingenuousness, which seems to be commonplace in Washington, D. C. However, my comment is not so much geared toward their disingenuousness, per se, neither is it to comment on Pompeo’s action in this regard, but rather, this whole scenario sheds a negative light on Donald Trump, himself, because during his campaign rallies, he oftentimes praised Wikileaks, going so far as to verbally state that he “loved” them.
Trump’s appointment of Pompeo suggests to me that it’s not Trump’s appointment at all, but rather, it is the “Shadow Government’s” appointment. How can Donald Trump say in one breath that he “loves” Wikileaks and contradict himself in the next breath by appointing someone to a cabinet position who apparently hates them? Where is Trump’s gratitude toward Wikileaks for their being instrumental in his becoming President? Has truth, honesty, and integrity become something that we in America are now deeming unworthy of respect and commendation? Wikileaks' sole purpose for existence is to expose corruption, which should be something that we appreciate, but rather than appreciate it, we’ve subjected its CEO to a life of confinement and incarceration rather than commendation and praise. Wikileaks has what should be an enviable reputation, in that it boasts in the fact that since its inception, which spans more than a 10-year period, it has never gotten it wrong or reported untruths. Donald Trump’s silence, concerning the unfair treatment of Julian Assange and his organization, is troubling, to say the least.
Julian Assange hiding with truth rather than from the truth

It has been said, regarding the POTUS, that he is “the most powerful person in the world”, I inserted quotation marks around this description because an argument can be made that the POTUS is not actually governing the United States, but rather, it is being governed by a “Shadow Government”, which makes the “Shadow Government” the most powerful entity in the world, and not the POTUS. This is clearly illustrated when we have changes in presidents, and even changes in party affiliation, but no changes occur in policy. Many various issues are campaigned on, but governance remains virtually the same.

Yea there's a serious consensus in the DC cartel to continue aimless foreign engagements and the war on drugs. Putting Trump's presidency in context positively helping wikileaks so soon might make the hill bots and fake news cnn explode. Never before had I heard common talk about 25th amendment or impeachment without serious evidence of wrong doing.
I think we might get to see Trump's true colors if he gets past the Russia Gate narrative with no evidence--perhaps there is something but the extent it has been conspiracy theoried squaked about is not justifiable in a rational world with an independent press--but how else you think they'd arbitrarily detain Assange so long and have nearly 1% of Mericans behind bars--many for nonviolent conduct? Will be interesting how it all plays out though.

WE NEED TO BE PRECISE IN OUR LANGUAGE, USING OUR FREEDOM RESPONSIBLY
Because strictly speaking, the leaking of legally secreted information IS illegal; only once leaked it is no longer secret and therefore disseminating it at that point is not a crime.
The leakers act criminally when they perpetrate a leak; they are the the ones doing the leaking. But Wikileaks does not leak information. It records for the public record what's dripped out from the leaky faucet organizations of the elite. The leaker could as well disseminate the information via a newspaper or on facebook or anywhere else without criminal charges coming against the medium, for that is what social media platforms are - utilities of the public domain.
Why the state is able to go after Wikileaks under the law is by making the case Wikileaks aids and abets the leakers to get away with the crime. The issue (which, except in a state leaning towards tyranny, should be a non-issue) is the long-standing and formerly respected journalistic ethic of protecting the source's identity. That is what is under attack, and when that goes the only way the hold the powers that be accountable is satire and that will be possible so long as the powers that be deign to countenance it.

yea, not sure about social media being utilities in the public domain--if that was the state of reality, then twitter and facebook both wouldn't have delisted wikileaks' links during 2016 election.
Secrecy is not at all coherent with self determination. Blockchain and digitization may help expose the major myths that control this world.
