Even though GoFundMe can be very helpful when someone has a true need. Like with all things, it can lead to a lot of abuse. I've never looked this up, but I wonder if there are “Need/Want” metrics on this. Meaning, someone needs life-saving surgery and they don't have the money, versus someone who wants a new boat to help with their mental well-being.
