A huge World War-II bomb found in Augsburg city of Germany over 50,000 residents were evacuated from their homes so that the bomb could be defused. It is one of the country's biggest evacuation reported for an unexploded bomb since the end of the war. it is said to be a 1.8 tonne British explosive a result of a 1944 air raid which destroyed the town, the bomb was uncovered during a construction work on Tuesday.
A number of schools and sports halls were opened as shelters for those in need, though the authorities were confident that most people affected could stay with friends or family.
German police later announced that the bomb had been made safe.
