No it isn't fruits can contain up to 10% citric acid by weight if i remember correctly, there is way way less of it added to all other foods, in addition it does not matter where it comes from be it from fruit or bacteria or gmo cow it will be the very same molecule a IDENTICAL one. It is very hard to overdose on it b/c you will first get stomach cramps and diarrhea. On the other hand if you do not get enough of it you will definetely end up in hospital as it is a precursor to many essential vitamins, enzymes etc.
Author of this post lacks a bigger picture view, and definetely did not go to med school.
