The only thing that doesn't convinces me about steemit is that by attaching money to user performance creates a wrong incentives. The point of being active on a social platform is to have “meaningful social interactions,” and not making value. However, if we have social interactions while creating money is not a bad thing! Shared it on reddit!
I agree. That was also my concern. In a way what makes Facebook and other social media so powerful is the fact that there isn't $ amount on those likes. In fact, putting a $ amount on them it might have the opposite effect: devalue the interaction. That is definitely a strenght and at the same time a flaw as of now.
I really like seemit and can see it catching on long term. But i feel like there will be even more toxicity from users in the future. And looking at the main tags, it often feels like theres nothing of value there. But with reddit, the top posts generally seem to have real value or news. But thanks for the post. I liked it.
