Anything can be racist!

So I get a lot of amusement watching the news stations crawl all over themselves to try to paint conservative politicians as racist, sexist, homophobic, whatever-word-you-can-think-of-phobic. The obvious top-tier target of this is Donald Trump, who recently called Baltimore a rat infested dump or something along those lines and then later said "No human being would want to live there."

Of course the media jackaloons jumped on this like fat people at a donut buffet.

Let me ask Joe Walsh this: Have you ever been to Baltimore? Because I have. It is not a nice place. It is riddled with crime, ranks near the top of most lists that you don't want to be a champion in, and is basically avoided by everyone that can afford to do so. If it wasn't so close to Washington D.C. I don't think anyone would go there. I think most people just drive through it because it is the only way to get north on a major highway in that part of the country. You certainly wouldn't plan your next vacation to wonderful Baltimore.

However, since Baltimore (or parts of it) has a high percentage population of blacks, the only reason why Trump could possibly be saying this is because of racism right? Not because what he is saying is actually true.

Some of the wonderful things that the lovely city of Baltimore has on its record:

  • Highest ever per capita murder rate recorded for a U.S. city
  • A homicide rate routinely around 8 times the national average since 2001
  • one of the only large cities in the United States to experience a DROP in population since the 80's (over 130,000 out of less than 1 million: this is largely attributed to people moving away from the crime-riddled experience)
  • in 2003 and 2005 the political leaders (mainly then Mayor Martin O'Malley) were caught altering crime statistic to lower numbers

It ranks as the #7 most dangerous city in the United States despite being next door to the nation's capitol. However, criticizing a place riddled with violent crime and drugs could only possibly have one motive.... racism!

While I am quite certain that Trump was not angelic in his decision to focus on these communities (mostly it was lashing back at Elijah Cummings - if you even know who that is) but for the left to immediately jump on the racism train again, is just getting old. The word is so overused that it doesn't even mean anything anymore.

This sort of thinking gets us no where. Are you sick of people injecting race into everything? I know I am.

Okay, I am not saying everything that he says is in the wrong, but are you really saying he has never uttered a sexist thing at least? I mean even people that support him have admitted that "yeah, he probably shouldn't have said that", or "yeah, that was a little tone deaf". I can respect and hold a conversation with someone that can admit that despite their support, there are flaws vs. someone that just blindly follows and supports everything.

I'm saying that Baltimore is a dump. Anyone who tries to suggest otherwise hasn't had the misfortune of going there.

Trump faced backlash not bc he is wrong...but bc he is Trump...the media is not making any friends or gaining voters with this tired and false tactic.

I don't debate that. I saw a recent statistic that puts it in the top five of violent crime. Is it possible there could be some more tactful way of saying it though? Even if you take the racism or alleged racism out of the equation, the position of president is supposed to demand respect and put forth a certain form of decorum. I think it is his tactless delivery that gets him in trouble more than the actual content of what he is saying.

that's fine. I'm not trying to defend or support the president here. I am trying to call out the media for the lying hacks that they are. They should do some articles about what you just wrote, i would read that and likely agree with it. But I think their olympic-level overreach with things like this is actually accomplishing the opposite of their intent.

Let's see if something gets done about Baltimore now. To be honest I don't know if anything can be done.. it's too far gone, like Detroit.

Shut your mouth, Detroit is coming back. Slower than they had hoped, but it is working its way back. The constant mismanagement and sabotaging by the Ilitch family doesn't help though.

Lol. Little too close to home pal?😄

:) Little bit. There are still a lot of scary areas and abandoned buildings. Plus the school district is still hurting. I think they need to turn it back into farmland.

Leftists and Democrats don't like facts when it comes to the sad states of their cities. So they have to deflect. The whole of the pseudo-cultural identities rest upon the dysfunction of their cities and their favored Democratic Party politicians.

Those who are claiming that Trump criticizing Baltimore and Elijah Cummings is racist, they are the true racists when it comes down to analyzing things. They're the ones applying, with their own mind, the thought that so-called 'diversity' has led to Baltimore's problems. Trump certainly didn't say that. Democrats are, in a figurative sense.

Facts are not racist. But if you have no facts to back up your argument then a good ol’ personal attack usually gets part of the job done.
The rad dems and their internet posse are dispicable asshats.

Why is your profile pic a white dog and not a brown dog? HAHAHA

Is my dog racist or am I? Maybe we both are! 🥺

Just ask a Republican:

Would you rather sit down with a black conservative or a white liberal?

I think most would choose black conservative... I don't actually know any genuinely racist people but I know a lot of Republicans.

The use of the "racist" accusation against those you don't like as become even more overused than "nazi".

Racism is an useful tool to win election in some countries.
