Speak of the Devil and He Shall Appear - NH Governor Sununu on CNN

in news •  6 years ago  (edited)

So I was just talking about the state of governorship in New Hampshire and as always the Sununu Family comes up.

This is John the father of Christopher who is our current governor here. The apple didn't fall far from the tree but it did land on the left side of the trunk in my opinion. That's a big deal when we start from NeoCon, half democrat ideology to begin with.

It's safe to say I'm not thrilled about Christopher's policies or the direction we are taking as a state nor was I truly happy with how his dad ran things. I believe Sununu Sr. was a big part of crafting George W Bush's platform and I would often think of him as a "RINO". When it comes to JR., I only think of him as a Republican In Name Only, which around here is a winning strategy.

I always seems to drag Boston into this but considering it only about 50 miles from where I'm writing this it gets hard not to. I bring them up because for some reason in New England at large we tell ourselves that electing an entirely democratic government from school board to state reps will be ok if we just elect one republican to sit at the top of the power pyramid, we learned that from them and I see it from Maine to Connecticut nowadays.

The real elephant in the room isn't a guy like Mitt Romney, Governor of Massachusetts, or a Sununu, it's that they are playing into the concept we want to appear as a balanced place while lying to ourselves about the socialist/left wing policies running amok and wrecking things here.

I think we need to be more honest about how we vote and expect more from our representatives, at least until we can get them all fired that is.

I almost forgot to mention I choose a clip made by John Ward because I'm becoming fan, this dude is funny ;)

I do believe we probably should talk more about John Sununu, even though his name is more hypnotic in print than most snake charmers.

He really did write the Neo-Con playbook and has been essential in the crafting of the republican's message for decades. An unknown puppet master to be sure.

After all we NH voters (and that includes half the democrats from NY and MA) are the test subjects for both parties' platforms in the primary process, it's where propaganda is born.

PS no one counts Iowa, throwing straw across the room doesn't count as a primary lol ;)
