So, besides people who seek their own personal gain, whether monetary or power related, there seems like a big problem proliferating.
Somalia is becoming a breeding ground for radical Sunni terrorists. The global bureaucracy grid lock's and divides the country between other major global political like Saudi Arabia, world bank, Turkey, the UN... The US and UN are drone bombing all these people who've been coddled into this funnel. To these people, they feel like they are randomly being picked off. Grid lock keeps the them from uniting together effectively, and supports the imported Sunni from Saudi Arabia.
So yea, would not be surprised to find out that changing the moderate Muslims into radical Sunni in order to recruit more foot soldiers was an objective... We are talking about the same global bureaucracies that spawned Al-Qaeda and Isis....
