Hi!
I started a podcast 6 months ago, and a lot of our content is enduring because we ask great questions and I get great answers from the group of 4 self-made intellectuals I have on the show.

I'm new here, but I'm not new to media. I started my career rolling prompter for the overnight news show, World News Now, and at 20/20 for Hugh Downs and Barbara Walters.
Since then I became a writer/producer, and was named Television Rookie of the Year by the Idaho Press Association.
We now have 8 episodes up:
Mideast and War
Russian Hybrid War
Steve Bannon
Rebuilding Puerto Rico
National Security Law and Potus
Key Drivers of Russian/US Conflict & Lessons of World War I
The Russian Hack
North Korea
Shows range from 14 mins to 1hr 13 mins - I've never tried to control the group that way and I've always wanted a thoughtful, natural exploration of subject matter. There's a lot to learn.
I think we're smarter than the major dailies, certainly, and I'll put this discussion group up against any other show, network or cable. Our content is excellent. It's like the politics discussion you wish could be had over the holidays with your family without it quickly devolving into personal stuff.
I'm going to be doing a little more "active" moderating though, so we don't go so far down rabbit holes - but some may find even those interesting as well. Some have been really fascinating.
I have two shows in the can I'll be putting up soon - the Bitcoin one is considering info that's not really in the public's mind and that's a great "jump in and get wet" kind of exposure to Bitcoin/Etherium/blockchain.
The other is a slightly dated one on the UN and the US withdrawal from UNESCO - all the forces at work are still in play.
I hope you'll check us out. And I hope I'll be editing and publishing these faster.
Best regards,
Ian McGrady

Quick story, true story: Peter Jennings was walking down the side of the ABC News building at 67th St. b/t Colombus and Central Park West. I had left ABC News a few years earlier to become a producer. I spied him walking by himself and quickened my pace to catch up to him. (I had met with him when I was first hired: he cancelled about 30 times, but his assistant Charlotte kept gracefully fielding my insistence that I talk with him. We covered Russia, Soviet Foreign Policy, Miklos Harazti and Samizdat, Bard College, Leon Botstein... the works, over 2 hours in his office.) I caught up with him and said:
"Hi Peter. How are you?"
"IAN," he said, remembering my name to my astonishment. "Where have you been?"
"I'm a freelance producer with News 12. You told me to leave ABC in order to grow, so I'm on the Jennings Plan."
"And are you still acting?"
"I still go to classes and auditions, yes."
"And how old are you," he asked.
"28."
To which PJ responded, and I'll never forget it: "Man, your shit is golden."
It's like the Dalai Lama saying on your deathbed you'll regain complete consciousness: So I've got that going for me. :)
