An orchid diplomacy..

A tradition practiced since 1956 in Singapore, it honors visiting head of states, dignitaries and celerities by naming it's finest hybrids after them.

Last week, Singapore named the above orchid as Dendrobium Rodrigo Roa Duterte, in honor of President Duterte of the Philippines' state visit. This as a gesture of friendship and promote goodwill between Singapore and the Philippines.
