A tough topic. Clear to some. A shrug of the shoulders to others.

Well, being in a multi cultural country, I am very accepting of a lot of different customs and traditions.
Some I get. Some I don't.
Having read parts of the Koran, and watching commentary on both sides, regarding Mohammed's, marriage to an underage girl, Ā'ishah bint Abī Bakr, has caused some friction, polarising different groups to already delicate tensions.
And, coming from a European lineage, we often joke about the age that people, particularly, women got married. Also, the reasons for marriage, that traditionally can be about more than love, in many cultures.
This, acceptance, of a cultural norm, is to be condemned or is it to be praised?

That girl will grow up someday and she will realize what was stolen was her innocence and also her potential. This is so sad.
