Along with the shifting shopping trends that move from physical stores to e-Commerce, verification technology must do the same. If the company can not adapt to this change, then it can be left behind by competitors.
Therefore, Veiris is present to be the first technology company in the world to have computer visual technology to assist Know Your Customer (KYC) process for the company.
During this time, companies engaged in the banking sector, financial technology, tourism, and insurance should collect photo ID cards that display the face of customers to verify their identity.
There are also regulations that explicitly say that companies can not accept customer verification only through writing. This process then becomes a long-winded and time-consuming thing, not just for the company, but also all related parties.
For the company, the customer service process becomes inhibited because the verification takes a lot of time. As for customers, they also have to wait a long time until the company successfully justify their identification.
This process takes several hours, even days, depending on the type and capability of the company. With Veiris, companies and banks now can use the decentralized computer visual ecosystem to verify customer data more quickly, such as from face images, document colors, to writing information with partner institutions.
This way while reducing the risk of document falsification significantly. Currently, Veiris is working with related businesses, including payment gateway and bitcoin exchange companies in Indonesia.
At the same time, Veiris is also running trials with several banks in Indonesia. As a result, the waiting time for customers decreased dramatically.
Track Record Veiris
The management team that built Veiris has an experienced track record. In the management ranks there are Anwar Yunus as CEO, Gabriel Rey as Chief Technology Officer, and Kevin Chen as Chief Operating Officer.
Previously, Anwar founded one of the largest promo coupon sites in Indonesia, namely Dealjava. Rey is the founder and CTO of Triv, a bitcoin exchange. Kevin is a Singaporean entrepreneur who founded Keytech Group, a company that serves the IT infrastructure and security sector.
"Veiris wants to be the cornerstone of the KYC network, especially for companies in the fintech sector, tourism, banks, insurance, and other companies," Anwar said in a press statement on Saturday (31/3/2018).
"Veiris helps business people to verify identity validity through image, face, color, and writing algorithms so we believe that Veiris can help them earn higher revenue by ensuring the originality and ownership of accurate image documents," he continued.
Sales Token
Anwar adds that Veiris will be the first company in the world to bring the visual sophistication of blockchain-based computers to KYC's corporate network.
"Our ecosystem will immediately detect if any person is trying to change the information or face in the identity card and passport," said Anwar.
For customers, this will make them feel more comfortable because their data is always protected. They can also know when someone is trying to use or change their data. In short, Veiris makes remote verification as easy and accurate as the face-to-face verification process.
Through token sales starting in the second quarter of 2018, Veiris aims to raise funds to better build ecosystems for banks, tourism, fintech, insurance and other companies.
Token sales will be limited to US $ 18 million and held at several exchanges to be announced in the coming weeks.
