I just happened to stumble onto this FB post and then I looked into it a little further.
This is an amazing project to raise poor people up and of course it was not done by governments (because in most cases government doesn't care about you) but instead it was done by a person. A person who had some success in his life and then wanted to give something back to the community from where he come from. Now it is lifting the lives of millions of people all over his country. I'm talking about the Akon Lighting Africa project.
