The media narrative is completely wrong here.
The MSM is running headlines about how politically influential blue check marks like Obama and Bill Gates were hacked on Twitter. And that it was all done for a little BTC.
Which completely overlooks 2 major elements:
This is cyber warfare.
The screenshots released by the hackers. Which show Twitter blacklists certain users from search and trends.
Instead the MSM is pushing the official story that the hack happened because a Twitter employee was the victim of an elaborate fishing scheme.
In the video above, I question the official story and raise 2 hypotheses about what may have happened.
It could have been a cyber attack by China. Tensions between the US and China are worsening by the day and China was vowing to retaliate for Donald Trump's executive order on Hong Kong.
It could have been the US government that was behind this. Just yesterday it was revealed that Trump gave the CIA authorization to expand cyber attacks. And the government might want to undermine Twitter's control over political discourse in the country.
