As many people have noticed, YouTubers everywhere have been getting demonetized left and right. This is happening anywhere from game play to body building and especially news. In my opinion, YouTube is on the way out, and DTube.video has arrived almost with perfect timing. Does that mean DTube will automatically take YouTube's place?
Well, no. But I think this is a great opportunity for those of us involved in Steemit and the decentralized revolution in general. If you want Steem and DTube to be successful, now is the time to go out to your favorite YouTuber and help them by telling them about DTube. Reach out to the YouTube creators and tell them that there is an alternative where they can not be demonetized simply because some central authority deems their videos unsuitable for their advertisers. You will be helping them and the Steemit/DTube platform!
Since DTube is still very new, it needs more people! Not only that but it need real legitimate content, lest it be taken over by leaked Game of Thrones episodes and stolen music. Let's not let it come to that! Of course there is little we can do about negative content on DTube, except to drown it out with good quality content. That's where you come in! It could be as easy as leaving a few comments on some YouTube videos -- especially when you see someone that has been demonetized.
I've been spreading the word!
