Chief Minister Mehmood Khan has directed the completion of the development agreement of Rashkai Special Economic Zone and finalization of all other accessories for the project and stated that according to the agreed timeline.

To be sure He directed to start work on the proposed road for access to the economic zone and complete it on priority basis. CM directs work on Mohmand Marble Industrial Zone to send summons for transfer of 50 acres of land required for Swat Economic Zone by the end of this month and further resolves the issue of land for the Durbar Special Economic Zone.

Has directed the Treasury Department to work out a feasible procedure for procurement of 1000 acres of additional land for the Hazara Special Economic Zone and propose the best possible proposal in this regard. He said that implementation of all the economic zones planned in the province would be ensured as unemployment challenges would not be possible without the promotion of industries.

He was presiding over a meeting of the Chief Minister's Secretariat regarding progress on industry projects in Peshawar. Assistant Chief Minister for Industries Abdul Karim, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Shahab Ali Shah, Chief of the Strategic Support Unit Sahibzada Saeed, Secretary Industries, KP Azmak, Board of Investment and Trade, Toyota and other departments attended the meeting.

The meeting was given a detailed briefing on the progress made on your various projects, including eight economic zones in different regions of the province. The meeting reviewed the progress of the provincial government's flagship project, Rashkai Special Economic Emphasis. The meeting was informed that the draft development agreement for the Rakshi Special Economic Zone is almost ready.

After approval, the project will be formally laid on the foundation stone. The Chief Minister has given time to finalize the above agreement, fully clear the land required for the project and release of electricity and gas for the first phase of the project. Mahmood Khan has directed to pay special attention to Mohmand Marble Industrial Zone. He said this is the first industrial zone of the former FATA integrated districts to be ensured as soon as possible.

He said that the Durban Special Economic Zone comprising 2600 acres of land for the southern districts has the best geographical location. To solve the problem of land for the project, the project is proposed so that the southern districts do not feel deprived. He directed to convene a separate meeting regarding the date of farming. The Chief Minister also directed to complete the PC One and Business Plan of Buner Special Economic Zone comprising one hundred and twenty-five acres of land.

He further directed that the remaining land required for Bannu Economic Zone be handed over to the department soon. And complete the master plan for the project. All these projects are time consuming and are essential to meeting the goals, especially regarding employment. The provincial government will provide resources to implement all these projects. The Chief Minister directed to devise an integrated strategy for the establishment of small industrial zones in the tribal district Khyber and said that these industrial zones would promote economic activities in the district and Employment opportunities will be available to the local population.
